Apeksha and Nikhil are in love

Ram’s mind froze he couldn’t comprehend the words Priya spoke.  All that came to mind was his action replay with his hand flying across Priya’s face.  The next she screaming at him I hate you, I hate you Ram Kapoor.  Back to his office and the voice of Nikhal Advani saying to him, you have something of mine that I want and him punching the bastard in his jaw sending him crashing into the glass top table. The image moved right back to him pushing Priya against the wall screaming at her I will fucking kill you and him if you ever think I will let you go and she running away from him.

God what have I done he said to himself, he felt claustrophobic wanting to get out of there right that moment.  He moved his head away from Priya’s embrace I need to get out of here he said.  He grabbed his tie to loosen it feeling like something was choking him was it that sickening feeling inside him that was making him repulsive.

Priya held on to him with concern wiping the perspiration on his forehead, ok let’s get you out of here she said.  He woke up from his seat feeling a bit unsteady on his feet while Apeksha stood there frightened looking at her brother in this state.  Tears streaming down her face she ran to him and held him around his waist burying her face into his chest she cried bhai I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry was all she repeated. He didn’t even have the strength to give her any comfort he stood numb and lifeless while she cried.

Priya said, Apeksha please relax it’s going to be ok, just calm down and let us go.  Your bhai needs to get over this shock and you can discuss all of this with him later.  Nikhil took hold of Apeksha’s arm and tried to gently ease her away from Ram please Apeksha, Priya is right just let it be for now.  Without saying a word Ram walked out of the cafe the outside air giving him some soothing relief while Priya placed her hand on his back a worrying concern on her face, are you ok, she asked?

He didn’t answer but walked to the car, opening the passenger side door so that she could get in and he went to the driver’s side got in and fastened his seat belt.  Priya looked at him worriedly not sure what to make of everything she was shocked and surprised all at the same time but she knew that Ram  was not taking this very well, what should she do?

Ram are you ok she asked again touching his left thigh for comfort,  he still didn’t say anything just covered her hand with his hand while he controlled the steering wheel with the other in between driving them home.  When they arrived at Kapoor Mansion he finally spoke and said to her I’ll be in my study and she said Ram please talk to me we need to discuss what happened.   I know it’s been a lot to absorb but you can’t hide from the real issue here.  Ram was not prepared to listen to her.  He said to her a bit more firmly, I’ll be in my study and walked off leaving Priya gaping at his retreating back.

 He walked into his study with his emotions all over the place trying to figure out how did his sister become the love interest of Nikhil Advani?  All this time he was thinking it was Priya but then why couldn’t Priya clear his doubt, why did she keep quiet if she knew what was going on. Fuck everything was out of control he didn’t trust Nikhil Advani the bastard was in love with his sister no way he was getting his slimy hands on her.  He vowed to himself, if he was using Apeksha to get to Priya he would kill the fucker for sure.

He went to his makeshift bar at the corner of his study opening the decanter he poured himself a drink.  He knew it was a bit too early in the day but he needed something to calm him bringing back his sanity. All that was ringing in his head was the sound of the sting when he slapped his wife across her face all because of one Nikhil Advani, fuck this name was killing him.    A little while later there was a knock on the door he ignored it but the door handle turned open and in walked Priya.  He didn’t acknowledge her but went about sipping on his drink deep in thought.

Priya said to him, Ram lunch is being served please come and have something to eat.  He said to her I’m not hungry.  She said I know this was a difficult day for you and you have every right to be shocked with finding out Nikhil and Apeksha are in love but drinking is not going to solve anything here.  Just please try to eat something it will make you feel so much better.  Ram said to her didn’t I tell you I’m not hungry so why are you nagging me.  I’m not nagging you she said, I’m just concerned about you that’s all.

Twirling the glass in his hand he looked at her blankly asking her, how long have you known about Apeksha and Nikhil?  What are you saying off course I only just found out about it myself the same time that you did.  I didn’t know that they were in love until he walked in with her.  So what where doing meeting with him after you knew I didn’t want you seeing him at all, yet you still went ahead and met with him?  Why Priya, why did you disobey my orders?  I’m sorry Ram I didn’t mean to disobey you Nikhil called and said he had something he wanted to tell now I guess he was trying to tell me about his relationship with Apeksha.

Well you know I’ll never accept this relationship there is no way that I will let him get his hands on my sister.  Priya said you can’t do that, they in love and you need to talk to Apeksha first you can’t oppose a relationship you know nothing about. So I guess you on his side looking at her questioningly he asked her, and you think I’m wrong in all of this?  Going closer to him she touched his arm I’m not taking sides and I’m not going to tell you who is right and who is wrong that’s for you to decide.  All I’m saying first speak to Apeksha and clear whatever doubts you may have but for now please come and have your lunch.

Ram was agitated,  he said to her how many times do I have to tell you that I’m not hungry just leave me alone.  He shrugged her hand off his arm and downed his drink, uncaring of what his wife was telling him.  Priya was upset with his behavior so she said to him firmly but she knew in her heart whatever she was about to speak she hated every word that came out but nevertheless she went on to say,  ok then have it your way if drinking is going to solve your problems then please go right ahead and drink I won’t stop you.  If you don’t want to eat then that is also your choice I won’t force you and if you want me to leave you alone that’s just fine with me. Yes you go right ahead and wallow yourself in self pity while I’m going to go visit my parents since I had planned to see them anyway.

Ram didn’t acknowledge a word she said all he did was pour another drink.  She was sick to her gut seeing him do this so she turned with a huff and left the room.  When he heard the door close he banged the glass on the desk the brown liquid sloshed onto the table.  Damn it he said to himself running his hand through his hair he thought why can’t I just face her?  Why can’t he just come out and say what he wanted to say that he was confused and sorry for what he did to her?  These questioned plagued him dearly while Priya left to go visit her parents for the day.

She was not prepared to stay home with an unapproachable temperamental husband around.  She needed her own sanity for the sake of their unborn child she had been put through enough stress already and she was sure it was not good for her newly developing baby. Her focus had to be about herself for the sake of her baby.  So with that thought she took herself out off a stressful situation for a little while by visiting her parents

She walked into her parent’s house already her mood shifted she felt so good being there because she could just be herself, simple Priya.  Her parents were so glad to see her, especially her papa every time she saw him she missed him even more and after his heart attack recently she couldn’t imagine not having him around.  It still pained her thinking of what trauma they went through when he went for surgery but thank god he was recovering and improving with his health.  Her father had to be kept within confined spaces for a while to eliminate the chances of infections. In fact visitors for the next few weeks had to be limited to the bare minimum to ensure his well being.

Priya beta I’m so happy to see you here today, I know papa, me too.  He couldn’t stop smiling while looking at his daughter he said to his wife Shipra our girl is going to be a mother soon, look how lovely she looks.  There was always so much pride in his voice when he spoke about Priya, this father daughter bond was just so special they were the best of friends.  They were all so excited with her pregnancy In fact it gave him a new lease in life he had something to look forward to and that meant the world to him.

Shipra said, so what would my doll like to eat and remember you eating for two these days.  Oh ma, please do not remind me, there are some days I just can’t stand the sight of food and there are days that I would eat a mountain of food.  Beta but that’s normal while your body changes your tastes become different too but tell me what are you craving too eat.  Honestly ma I will eat anything that you cook, Ok her mother said let me go and cook some of your favorite dishes.  Ma but first please can you  make me some of your adrak wali chai, you make it the best.  Off course Beta I’ll do that right now. Priya sat with her father catching up on all that they missed since they last spoke she said Papa guess what? You remember Nikhil he was my friend from college.  Off course yes I do, he was that really nice well mannered boy he went to America, right?

Yes papa he did and now he’s become a successful lawyer there and doing really well for himself.  Oh but that’s wonderful to know,  didn’t he come from a rich family too, yeah papa he did but Nikhil was always so independent and never depended on his father’s money.   Sudhir said yes that’s what I remember made him stand out and I’m so glad that he remained that way too.  Yes papa I’m so proud of him but guess what, he’s in love with Apeksha?  Really beta that’s really good news, Apeksha is such a lovely girl and the little I remember about Nikhil I’m sure they will make a wonderful couple.  Yes papa I hope so too, she looked on a bit solemnly what is wrong beta why you look so pensive.  Well papa I’m not sure how Mr Kapoor is taking all of this, he is not happy about it.  Sudhir was surprised, but why will Ram object if Nikhil comes from a good family and they also successful too.  I don’t know papa all I know he is not happy.   Don’t worry beta he will come around just give him some time and space to think about everything and I’m sure he will do what is right.  I hope so papa, I really hope so. 

Shipra came back with Priya’s favorite chai looking at both father and daughter she said,  the both of you can’t stop talking.  Why ma you jealous Priya asked mischievously and they all laughed,  crazy girl Shipra said and turned going back to the kitchen to cook for her darling daughter. Sudhir said Priya why don’t you spend the night here with us it will be like old times again? Oh papa I do miss that too, she looked at her father with so much love that she couldn’t refuse his request.  Ok papa I’ll stay but let me phone Ram to let him know.  He held onto her hand and said I’m so happy beta really I am, I know papa me too she said a bit too brightly but feeling a bit down within her.  She loved her papa so much but at the same time she felt so bad to stay away from her husband especially with all that was happening at home.

A little while later she excused herself to go make the call to Ram she knew he wasn’t going to like this one bit but what could she do.  Her father who never asked her for anything wanted her to spend the night here with him she didn’t have the heart to say no.  She called Ram but his phone continuously rang, she tried a few times still no answer so she called the house and Krishnaji answered the call.  Ma she said I’m so sorry to worry you I’ve been trying to call Ram but he’s not answering his phone.  It's ok beta Ram is with Apeksha they talking, oh ok Priya said.   Krishna said let me take this call to him no ma don’t worry Its ok I just wanted to check if I could spend the night here with my parents, papa asked me too.

Off course beta she said, you must stay there don’t worry I will pass the message to Ram. By the way beta is everything ok with your father, yes ma he is fine recovering really nicely.   well I’m glad to hear that you please pass my good wishes to him.  Yes Ma I will do and you take care and I will see you tomorrow and thanks so much, bye and so Priya disconnected the call. The rest of the evening went on, by that time Karthik and Natasha had come home they all ended up having an enjoyable evening together.  It was light hearted so refreshing with jokes and laughter but all through it Priya was worried about Ram she hadn’t heard from him and she was concerned with what state he was in.

It was now 1130pm at the Sharma residence the house was silent everyone had gone to bed. Priya was in her old room still dressed in her clothing while lying on the bed but not really sleeping.  She missed not being in Ram’s arms in fact she missed him. He didn’t call.  She felt disappointed her thoughts were centered entirely on him when all of her sudden her phone rang looking at the caller id she took a deep breath and answered the call with a yearning need in her. The voice on the other end said to her, so you decided to punish me, Priya said when did I punish you? When you didn’t come home he said.  Ram I wasn’t punishing you, papa had asked me to spend the night I did try to call you but you didn’t answer and when I called the house I spoke to ma and she said I could stay.

Priya maybe you’ve forgotten something? No she said a bit confused there is nothing that I forgot.  Well I disagree I think you have forgotten who’s boss around here.  What are you talking about Ram?  Priya it is quite simple actually, when it’s got to do with us I make the decision not my mother, not dadi no one in my family makes decisions when it comes to us, do you understand?  But I did try to call you never answered your phone.  Priya I let you go because you went to visit your father at no point did you tell me you were spending the night there, off course not, she said it was not an issue then only when I got here Papa had asked me to stay.

Did you think about me for a moment Priya, did you think one second how I would feel?  Ram please you blowing this out of proportion off course I thought about you, all this time while I’ve been with my family I’ve been thinking about you she cried so how can you ask me that question. Well honestly it doesn’t feel like it,  It doesn’t feel like you thought about me because had you thought about me you would be in my arms right now and I would be buried deep inside of you but here I am all alone without you. Ram please do not say that off course I want to be with you too, off course I ache for you too but what could I do.  You could of thought about us before you made your decision that’s what you could off done?

Priya said look it’s just a matter of a few hours and I promise I will be home really early before you awake I’ll be home.  Really baby and how am I suppose to go to sleep?  Priya said please Ram do not make this difficult, I’m missing you too I had no choice in this.  He said when it comes to us baby there should never be a question of choice, remember that. Ok I’m sorry she said I’m just as miserable. Really he asked, yes really she said.  So what are you doing now he asked? I’m in my room lying on the bed. I see, sleeping then he asked?  No I was just thinking.  What were you thinking about? You, she said, I was thinking about you and wondering what you were doing?

Hmmmmm, I see so you wondering what I was doing? Where are you Ram?  I’m outside, he said. Outside where, she asked?  Outside here right below your window, he said. What, she said jerking out of the bed. I said I’m outside, she ran to her room window and peered out and just like he said he was outside below her window in the car park leaning against his car with a phone stuck to his ear looking up at her. Oh my god she said, you mean all this time you’ve been talking to me you’ve been standing outside, are you crazy she yelled at him. Yes he said I’m crazy, I’m crazy for you.

Her heart beat raced at a rapid speed while she had tiny butterflies in her tummy. She said to him I’m coming and she cut the call.   She slipped on her shoe, grabbed a shawl from the cupboard to protect her from the light breeze and went outside to meet her man not sure what to expect. Each step she took closer to him those butterflies fluttered even more creating havoc inside her.  Their eyes never missing a second of each other,   she said to him I can’t believe you here?

What am I suppose to do if you not with me he asked her? I’m sorry she said, and he said show me how sorry you are? She pouted her lips you wanted me to leave you alone. Did I, he asked with a light smile on his lips, yes you did she said you told me to leave you alone. So you were punishing me, he asked? No I wasn’t she whispered back, so why are you standing there and I’m standing here?

With his most charming smile he opened his arms for her and she closed the tiny gap between them and she flung herself on his chest wrapping her arms around him.   she hugged him tightly while he pressed her body into him squeezing the very breath out of her, he whispered in her ear I missed you taking the edge of her earlobe into his mouth, I missed you he said again.  His teeth lightly grazing her I missed you so much he said again lifting her into him.  He turned her around and pushed her against the closed door of his car,

Your drive me crazy he said, holding her face with the palms of his hand their lips almost touching we promised each other we would never spend a night apart from each other how did you ever think I would allow you too and he swopped down on her mouth claiming her into an earth shattering kiss. Their lips smacked upon each other as he moved on her forcing her mouth apart so that he could slip his tongue into hers, their tongues rotated while sucking out every ounce of each other.  Her hands were in his hair she pulled him closer while his hands slipped to her buttocks pulling her into him she could feel his arousal a need so great for her.  They continued to kiss until they couldn’t breathe when they finally came apart their heavy breathing echoed the amount of energy they put into to each other.
